DAY - FISH, DIVE, CRUISE HOLIDAY ADVENTURES

Day 1 - 7.15am board Ocean Invader at main
Denham Jetty. Light breakfast and introductions prior to departure.
8.00am depart for Steep Point, Australia’s most western
point, spend the day diving and fishing at Steep Point and
Zuytdorp cliffs. Return to one of the calm bays for the night.
Day 2 - Depart Steep Point and cruise north
along the western side of Dirk Hartog Island for some unbelievable
game fishing and diving on some of the worlds most spectacular
dive sites. Drop anchor for the night in Turtle Bay, the site
of one of Australia’s largest Loggerhead Turtle breeding
grounds.
Day 3 - Go ashore and climb the cliff at
Cape Inscription, the very site that Dirk Hartog placed his
pewter plate marking the first European landing on Australian
soil in 1616. Then we may head north again to Dampier Reef
for more game fishing before returning to the shoals to bag
a sample of our wonderful Spanish flag, one of the best table
fish you will ever eat. Back to Turtle Bay for the night.
Day 4 -Spend the morning snorkelling over
the shallow corals teaming with tropical fish or topping up
the catch before heading back to Denham via Denham Sound,
where it is common to see dugongs, dolphins and whales playing
in the protected shallows.
Arrive Denham approx. 4.30pm.

Day 2 - Depart the moorings and cruise south
along the spectacular Zuytdorp Cliffs. View the most Westerly
Point of Mainland Australia from the best advantage point
- the ocean. Experience breathtaking fishing for blue bone
groper in the waters at the base of cliffs that extend forever
upwards. Return to the moorings mid afternoon and go ashore
to collect oysters off the rocks or just take a walk on the
beach.
Day 3 - Depart Steep Point and cruise north
along the western side of Dirk Hartog Island for some unbelievable
game fishing and diving on some of the worlds most spectacular
dive sites. Drop anchor for the night in Turtle Bay, the site
of one of Australia’s largest Loggerhead Turtle breeding
grounds.
Day 4 - Go ashore and climb the cliff at

Dorre Island, or alternatively, head back to Turtle Bay for
the night.
Day 5 - Today we make our way back to the
shoals to catch Spanish Flag, one of the best table fish you
will ever eat. Time to play around in the shallows with the
light gear or dive on the beautiful coral gardens. Overnight
in Turtle Bay.
Day 6 - Spend the morning snorkelling over
the shallow corals teaming with tropical fish or topping up
the catch before heading back to Denham via Denham Sound,
where it is common to see dugongs, dolphins and whales playing
in the protected shallows.
Arrive Denham approx. 4.30 pm.

DEEP SEA FISHING
(Live-on-board charters)
To fully appreciate the spectacular and diverse fishing available
in Shark Bay, you really need to spend several days on board
with our experienced, friendly crew, who will take you to
Steep Point, Dirk Hartog Island, Turtle Bay, Dampier Reef
and beyond.
Your catch will include Shark Bay's famous pink snapper, baldchin
groper, red emperor, cod, sailfish, mackerel, tuna, various
species of north-west snapper and many, many others.
Our vessels are fully fitted with galley, bathroom with hot
fresh water shower, private toilet and comfortable bunks to
offer complete comfort for our clients. Coupled with the professional
service provided by our crew, you can be assured of a great
fishing adventure.
We supply all fishing gear, bait and ice, however, clients
are invited to bring their own gear if preferred. All meals
are supplied and drinks are available or you are welcome to
BYO. Come on board and enjoy the excitement of an extended
fishing trip, from two days or more.

Depart Denham Jetty 7.30 am. Head for Steep Point or Turtle
Bay for a day amongst the big ones. Returns 5.00 pm. We will
give you a full day fishing with lunch, fishing gear, bait
and ice supplied.
NOTE
The current daily bag limit for Shark Bay Western Gulf is
a mixed bag of seven, of which four may be pink snapper.
On your return to Denham, you may choose to have your catch
professionally processed to your own requirements, frozen
in shatter packs and freighted to Perth. You will need to
make your own freight arrangements from Perth. Cost is comparable
to supplying a hired trailer and ice boxes etc.
Price includes all fishing gear, bait, ice, meals, snorkelling
gear and scuba tank fills. 10% deposit payable with your booking
and balance due on or before departure.
Alcoholic and soft drinks can be available on board if required
or passengers are welcome to BYO. Clients need to supply their
own sleeping bag and pillow, towel and personal gear.
Scuba diving gear is available for hire with prior notice.
Please note that spear fishing is not permitted on our vessels.

DIVE SITES
1. Monkey Rock: 20 m max.
12 m edge with one large swim through, scattered corals, large
cod, manta rays, sharks and whale sharks often seen.
2. Steep point: 15 to 40
m. The cliff face around Steep Point has many excellent dives
from massive caverns teaming with crays to the 40 m coral
edge at the west point. Sea conditions sometimes prevent access
to these sites.
3. Surf Point: 1 to 8 m.
Many shallow coral outcrops at western side. Two excellent
coral and rock bombie sites to the east, spectacular fish
life.
4. Herald Heights: 5 to
20 m. Coral and reef area on the West Side of Dirk Hartog
Island, access limited by weather. Spectacular fish life,
crays etc.
5. Charlies Harbor: 25m
max. 12 m edge, Pelagics, Trevally, Sharks often seen.
6. Boulder City: 10 to 30
m. large reef/ edge running west out from D H I, Very spectacular
dive with corals and massive schools of fish.
7. S W Corner: 10 m. Scenic
dive in a sometimes very calm bay. Large cod often seen.
8. The Wall: One of Shark
Bay's best dives. 8 to 26 m. Massive rock formations with
caverns and vents to the surface. Huge schools of Baitfish,
reef fish. Manta Rays, large Cod, Sharks etc.
9. Saint Madelina: 22m.
The wreck of the trawler Saint Madelina, coral encrusted and
an interesting dive. This wreck is registered with the Western
Australian Maritime Museum as being discovered by SHARK BAY
CHARTER SERVICE.
10. Cape Inscription: 10m.
Great dive along the rocky edge that forms the cliff base,
very colorful easy dive.

11. Coral Gardens: 2 to
15 m. large limestone area covered with every conceivable
type of coral, teaming with fish life.
12. Sammies: 1 to 6 m. Scattered
coral bombies in clear shallow water. Very Colorful.
13. Shoals: to 20m. Drift
dive over many areas of magnificent corals, bombies and edges.
Very dependent on weather and tide.
14. Horse Shoe: Described
by international divers as equal to any site in the world.
The Horse shoe is a large edge on the inside of Dampier Reef,
dropping from 5 to 18 m. The edge has by far the most spectacular
coral formations found anywhere in Australia. Very limited
access due to sea and swell conditions. Only SHARK BAY CHARTER
SERVICE and the very limited number of divers taken to it
by us know this site.
15. Sandy Point: 0 to 5
m. Large area of magnificent corals, Dugongs & Turtles
often seen.
16. Gudren Wreck: 10 m.
Largest wooden shipwreck in WA waters. Interesting dive with
spectacular fish life. Can only be dived at slack tide.
17. Broadhurst: to 6 m.
Large area of scattered coral bombies with easy access for
beginners. Frequented by Dugong and abundant fish.
18. Ship loader: 12 m. Home to a school of
extremely large Cod and Groper with interesting coral growth
on the pylons. Can only be dived with permission from the
Company.
19. Bar Flats: 3 m. Large area of coral reef
with limestone pavement to the South, numerous small corals.
The reef is dominated by Cabbage corals. Abundant fish life
and like many other dive sites in Shark Bay, a Dugong may
be encountered.
